Mayland Meccano Club's History

The club's full title is the Maylands Meccano and Hobbies Club Inc.

Viv Malmgreen was the founder, benefactor and spiritual leader of the club, which started in 1935 in a shed on his parents' property. The club still operates from this address.

In fact, the club has been operating continuously since that time and is one of the few clubs that has its own premises and stock of parts.
